Johann is a confident communicator with a depth of skills across corporate. crisis, reputation and consumer PR, strategic media relations, agency management & sponsorship activation through to B2C / B2B comms, rights & stakeholder management. Johann’s career has currently spanned across 18 years of in-house, agency & global brand experience, with agency roles at Edelman, Golin, KTB PR and Hill and Knowlton, alongside six years as senior comms at The Football Association. Head of PR roles at PDSA in 2015 and strategic consultancy positions at UEFA, Beats, and the Chartered Institute of Marketing followed with specific projects around crisis comms, global partnership content strategies and Johann went on to head of global PR positions at Betsson Group and Betvictor, developing reputation and public affairs positioning in line with the UK gambling act industry reforms that arrived in the UK. Johann led Adidas’ global EURO 2020 ‘Impossible is Nothing’ PR campaign and partnership with Common Goal, before going onto to join Samsung UK’s PR and Communications team in 2022, first as a mat cover head of PR and now leading corporate reputation and purpose communications for SEUK. Samsung was recently nominated as ‘best in-house PR team’ at the 2023 PR Week Awards, was also voted the ‘most innovative PR Newsroom’ in 2023 by Samsung Global and SEUK has been recognised as the best-practice office globally for managing reputation and issues.
