Jo Lehmann

Jo has more than 20 years of experience in communications. She spent 10 years working as a senior international journalist for prominent broadcasters such as Al Jazeera, Bloomberg and Associated Press, before moving into in-house communications managing reputations for Government – the Home Office and FCDO, and tackling some of the biggest challenges of our time, including the Windrush reputational storm.

Jo is now Head of Communications for the largest mental health Charity in the UK – St Andrew’s Healthcare, which cares for some of the most vulnerable people in the country living with severe mental health needs. The Charity works in a complex and politically sensitive arena, with many patients detained under the Mental Health Act resulting in a high level of media scrutiny. Jo can speak with experience on how to take control of the narrative and develop creative campaigns during the moments that matter most.
