Nick Hope

Nick is a seasoned advisor, providing strategic counsel and practical solutions to help organisations get ahead of crises, respond effectively when they do hit, and emerge stronger on the other side. He heads up the Edelman Crisis & Risk team across Europe, Middle East and Africa.

His work is often at the intersection of business, politics and culture, and he has extensive crisis and corporate reputation experience stretching back nearly two decades. He has spearheaded numerous high-profile campaigns and helped leading brands and organisations navigate their most complex reputational challenges. He has partnered with a diverse portfolio of clients, including EY, Nissan, UPS, The World Gold Council, TetraPak, Allianz, Shell, PwC, the Royal Ballet and Opera, DP World, and a European Prime Minister.

Previously at Edelman he led a practice of 80 people working across the full spectrum of corporate communications in the UK and was Chief of Staff for Europe, Middle East & Africa, sitting on the Regional Executive Committee.

Prior to joining Edelman, Nick spent over a year advising Hilary Benn MP as Chair of the Brexit Committee and was a speechwriter for high-profile international household names. Before that, Nick worked as a Political Adviser in the UK to the Shadow Foreign Secretary and Shadow Communities Secretary. He also worked for the Shadow Financial Secretary to the Treasury, the Economic Secretary to the Treasury, and the former Deputy Prime Minister of the UK.
